Jan Matthé will be joining WorleyParsons to facilitate the growth and globalization of the Ports and Marine business.
Jan’s varied experience in marine contracting and marine and coastal engineering will allow him to globally expand strategic plans, business development, project execution plans, human resources management, communication lines and financial performance for the Port and Marine business.
Jan started his career as superintendent for a multinational international dredging contractor where he became Project Manager on marine construction and dredging works. Prior to immigrating to Canada from Belgium in 2005, he was a technical director of a 400 people strong business specialized in horizontal directional drilling and utility installation. He shifted his career in 2006 from contracting to consulting engineering, initially as Project Manager for Ports and Marine for Ausenco Sandwell, and later as Manager of Coastal Engineering and Dredging. Jan has accumulated 19 years project experience all around the world since he obtained his Masters in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in marine and coastal engineering from the Free University of Brussels.
Jan will report directly to Gordon Cowe, Managing Director, Infrastructure & Environment and will be based in North Vancouver, Canada.
