Business Unit General Manager – Qatar
Business: Infrastructure & Environment
Region: Middle East
Years at WorleyParsons: 5
What are you working on at the moment?
I have just finished a proposal followed by a presentation to the Public Works Authority in Qatar. This contract involves long-term consultancy services and will be the first long term service agreement for infrastructure design in Qatar.
I am now working with Evans & Peck consultants on a presentation for the FIFA world cup 2022 steering committee pursuing the program management contract for upcoming competition, non-competition and infrastructure venues.
What do you like the most about working for WorleyParsons?
What I like most about WorleyParsons is the growth and opportunities available to me. I believe that WorleyParsons, as a giant in the engineering business, has the potential to grow considerably in the infrastructure sector and that I have an important role to expand this business in the Middle East.
How do you feel you are making a difference at WorleyParsons?
I feel that I am making a difference in Qatar through my ability to develop valuable business relationships because of my culture awareness and broad technical knowledge. I have been fortunate enough to be involved in many infrastructure mega-projects with diverse work scopes. This has given me a wide array of experience complemented by the hydrocarbons experience that I gained previously in the role of Engineering Manager and Manager of Projects.
