WorleyParsons has won a significant new contract for Chemtura’s new multi-purpose manufacturing facility in Nantong, Jiangsu Province.
The contract is for the supply of FEED, detail design, EPCM and commissioning support services.
Chemtura Nantong facility is expected to initially serve Chemtura’s petroleum additives and urethanes businesses, and is expected to provide sufficient additional capacity for other Chemtura businesses.
Karl Qiu, WorleyParsons China President, said the contract was a significant milestone for the company as it helps demonstrating the benefits of WorleyParsons’ substantial investment in China, and specifically its East China operations.
The contract is to develop the facility in multiple phases over the next several years with the installed cost of the phase one estimated at USD80 million.
